SMALL MOUTH BASS FISHING
On Little & Big Bay de Noc
Located on the Northern Shores of Lake Michigan in the Central Upper Peninsula, the Little Bay de Noc is an Walleye fishing paradise. The diverse shoreline and bottom contour provide some of the best fishing opportunities in the Midwest.
The Little Bay de Noc has always been known for the trophy Walleye, but the Smallmouth Bass fishing is our best kept secret! Anglers regularly reel in a trophy size hawg weighing in at 5+lbs and over 20 inches. With such a large body of water it can take a bit of exploring to find where they're biting, but once you find a good hole, you're in for the fight of your life.
For advice on where the fish are biting and what bait to use, contact one of the local bait shops to get the local insight.

Miles of freshwater shoreline with multiple boat launches, makes getting on the water simple. Our on-site boat launch allows the fastest access to the water without even having to leave the hotel. The great part about bass fishing is the accessibility. Although a boat will give you much better access to explore different areas on the bay, there are many public fishing platforms and accessible shoreline offering unlimited opportunities, no matter your setup. Fish for monsters over in Big Bay or cast a line from shore along the shore on Little Bay de Noc or even along the banks of the Escanaba or Ford River.
